Get into the festive spirit of Syttende Mai with a hands-on, high-tech twist! In this creative workshop, you’ll design and personalize your very own wooden medallion using Adobe Illustrator and a laser engraver, with instruction from Ruth Phillips, an experienced art and Fab Lab teacher from Stoughton High School and John Basco of Eyewoodwork, the maker of this year's official Syttende Mai Canoe Race and Viking Games awards!
Choose from a selection of Syttende Mai-themed images and add your own custom text. Whether you want to turn your medallion into a keychain, ornament, necklace, or keepsake, you’ll leave with a unique piece that celebrates the spirit of the festival.
Perfect for ages 10 and up (no prior design experience needed), this class is a fun way to learn some design skills, play with lasers (safely!), and show off your Syttende Mai pride.
This is a FREE workshop and spots are limited so reserve your seat today!
